Clark County Public Schools is proud to announce that Mr. Luke Toy has been selected as the new principal at George Rogers Clark High School!
Mr. Toy began his career in education in Clark County at Robert D. Campbell Junior High where he spent six years as a 7th & 8th grade science teacher. At RDC, he was involved in coaching baseball and softball, and he helped lead student and staff development projects, such as Project Lead the Way, The Leadership Challenge, and Sources of Strength. Mr. Toy has spent the last two years as the assistant principal at Mapleton Elementary and as an assistant principal at Montgomery County High School.
Mr. Toy has a myriad of professional and management experience prior to his time in education that brings a broad spectrum of skills to his administrative style. This includes a B.S. in Construction Engineering, an M.S. in Christian Ministries with an emphasis in Counseling, an M.A. in Teaching, and an M. A. in Educational Leadership. Mr. Toy has a strong sense of integrity, a servant’s heart, and a passion to instill value in each individual, ensuring that both students and staff can achieve at their highest level.
Mr. Toy stated, “It is an honor and a privilege to once again be able to serve the community of Clark County and to be a part of GRC. Clark County’s future is very bright, and I look forward to getting to know the staff and students better at GRC and to build on the foundation that has already been set. Together, with the support of our families, staff, and students, I believe the sky's the limit to what we are able to achieve.”
