Clark County Public Schools welcomes Dr. Jennifer Muncy as our new Director of Food Services. Long-time director Becky Lowry will retire in December.
For the past decade, Dr. Muncy has served as an administrator, with seven years as an assistant high school principal in Madison County, and the last three as the Academy Coach for the Academies of Lexington at Frederick Douglass High School.
Dr. Muncy began her career in public education in 2004 as a Business and Marketing teacher after leaving the private sector, where she worked as an auditor for General Motors Acceptance Corporation for seven years.
During her 10 years as a teacher, she was an FBLA advisor, senior class sponsor, ran a school bank, and was CTE lead teacher.
In 2021, she was elected to serve on the Kentucky Association of School Administrators Board of Directors and Executive Policy Committee. Additionally, she is a member of the Kentucky Women in Educational Leadership and has served as a co-chair on the Coalition to Sustain the Education Profession task force. Dr. Muncy is a proud and vocal supporter of public education.
“I am looking forward to this opportunity to serve the students of Clark County Schools as we continue to meet their nutritional needs, build relationships, and provide excellent service from our Food Service Department,” she said.
Dr. Muncy will officially begin her duties Dec. 1. Until Mrs. Lowry’s retirement in late December, she will work alongside Dr. Muncy to ensure a smooth transition. All of CCPS appreciates and values Mrs. Lowry’s dedication to Clark County Schools for so many years, and we wish her all the best in retirement.
Welcome to Clark County Public Schools, Dr. Jennifer Muncy!
